I had a busy month at my new job. I'm definitely enjoying it. It is a lot to learn but it is the perfect job for me during my pregnancy. I am hardly ever on my feet and I get to snack/drink at my desk... :)
Now that I have an obvious bump, Michael has been more aware that OUR BABY is REALLY on the way: kissing my tummy, talking to my tummy, and sometimes he gets a little mad at my tummy...when he feels like the baby is making me sick...he'll say, "STOP MAKING MOMMA SO SICK". And, then he'll give it a little tap...I guess he's trying the whole discipline thing out...just to practice haha :)
Sadly, about 2 weeks ago we had to put our precious dog, Maggie, to sleep. She was really sick and we know she didn't need to suffer anymore. We still have her sister, Nala, with us, and although she was a little depressed, she is starting to come back to life again. We miss Maggie a whole bunch, and I am really sad the baby will never get to meet her. However, we definitely enjoy having Nala around ...she's great! We KNOW she will be a great dog around the new baby...but just in case, we will do what the experts say and bring home the baby's hospital blanket to let her smell before we bring her/him home :)
We find out the baby's sex on March 12th! I am SO thrilled...March 12th is our one year anniversary, so we are very excited--this will be a VERY special day for us. We are planning a small party on March 16 to reveal the gender to everyone. :) So fun!
Here is a picture of me...week 14! No makeup...tired as anything...maybe I'll have more energy to get a little more camera ready next month ha!
Things I've Been Experiencing This Month:
- Weeks 10-12: TERRIBLE nausea; no energy
- Weeks 12-14: nausea comes and goes...good days and bad days...energy returning
- Peanut Butter & Jelly comforts nausea
- Current cravings: OJ & Tuna Fish Sandwiches...I also eat a lot of pizza!!!!
- My hips are definitely bigger...and, I definitely have a noticeable bump!
Facts About Baby At Week 14:
- Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
